Moms & Tots (and sometimesPops!) is geared for preschoolers, ages 2 – 5 years old and a parent or adult helper. Held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings of each month (excluding holidays), Moms & Tots activities center around a current Museum exhibit, a famous artist or even a seasonal or cultural celebration. Storytime and a light snack are included.
Super sARTurdays are for children ages K5 - 12 years old. Held from 1 – 3 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month (excluding holiday weekends), these fun-filled afternoons include visual and performing arts activities, guest artists and special projects.
Young Artist Workshops are also for children ages K5 – 12 years old. Held monthly on Saturdays, these hour and a half studio art classes for kids explore a wide variety of art media and techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, photography and more.
The Arts After School program is held during the school year at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center for children ages K5 – 12. The Garcia Center serves as an outreach facility to the Museum and Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi. In collaboration with the College of Education and the Food Bank of Corpus Christi, this program provides tutoring, visual and performing arts activities, health, nutrition, exercise classes as well as hot meals twice a week for children attending neighboring schools of the Center.
