THEME AND WRITING COMPONENT
Entries should be based on the student’s response to the prompt of The Art of the Wish. South Texas is home to a variety of rich cultures, diverse and beautiful landscapes, and unique ideas that influence the lives of its people. We want to know your students’ perception of South Texas whether it be through their own personal experiences, their community’s history, or an even broader look at the area.
As part of Visionarios’ support of literacy and weaving art into class curriculum, students are required to submit a short written statement that describes the significance of their creation. Artwork submitted to the contest without a written statement will not be judged and therefore, will not be eligible to win an award.
