ART MUSEUM OF SOUTH TEXAS OFFERS FREE ADMISSION FOR MONTH OF AUGUST

No-cost admission for the month of august thanks to PNC

Corpus Christi, TX: The Art Museum of South Texas (AMST) is happy to announce free admission throughout the month of August thanks to PNC Foundation.

“The Art Museum of South Texas always provides a unique experience for families,” said Susana Melendez-Valencia, PNC regional president for the Texas border. “There is no other experience that can bring us all together as one community quite like the arts. PNC has long recognized the power of the arts and culture and the role it plays in improving the quality of life in a community.”

Visitors of the Art Museum will be able to enjoy temporary exhibitions such as “King Ranch: A Legacy in Art, Paintings by Noe Perez”, and “War Toys: Ukraine” (through August 11). Permanent collection exhibitions to view are “Dreamsland” and newest permanent collection exhibition “ADJACENCY: In and Between” all free of charge.

“Free admission is essential to ensure that all can enjoy and appreciate art,” explained Kathleen Clark, development officer at the Art Museum of South Texas. “Throughout the year, thanks to free admission opportunities, our visitors save over $100,000 annually. Open access is a pillar of the Art Museum of South Texas. Thank you to PNC for providing this essential opportunity for our community.”

Enjoy the unique views within the galleries as well as the Corpus Christi Bay views out on the patio and terrace. Visitors with children are also encouraged to explore the Artcade on the first floor of the Johnson building, open to the public beginning August 6.
