Planned Re-Opening
Apr 30, 2020
Dear Friends of AMST,
This past Monday, Governor Greg Abbott announced that the Texas stay-at-home order will expire Friday, May 1. This news applies to restaurants, retail stores, malls, movie theaters, libraries, and non-interactive museums across the state.
The Art Museum of South Texas remains closed.
Please know that we are carefully planning for its reopening on June 2, 2020. The safety of the Museum’s staff and visitors continues to be our top priority.
Additional information regarding AMST’s reopening will be available in the coming weeks.
Please visit our website for further updates. We invite you to continue connecting with the Museum through our social media channels, as well as our collection of Creative Distancing Series on our YouTube channel.
We are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to safely open our doors again.
We’ve missed you and we will see you soon.
