Free Family Day! Hispanic Heritage Speaker Series | Diana López, Author (Virtual)*

October 3, 2021

*This event was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 26, and has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 3.

The Hispanic Heritage Month Speaker Series, presented by IBC Bank, provides AMST an opportunity to highlight the cultural significance and creative impact of Hispanic and Latin-American artists.

Join us as we celebrate and explore their contributions with lectures, demonstrations, and panel conversations.

AMST will kick off the Hispanic Heritage Month Speaker Series with Corpus Christi Native, Diana López, author of the adaptation of Coco, the Disney/Pixar film. López will read excerpts from her debut picture book, Sing with Me: The Story of Selena Quintanilla. After story time, she’ll speak to the audience about Corpus Christi as her favorite “character” for her stories and how it continues to inspire her writing, followed by a short Q&A and book signing.
