THE 12TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE FOREST OPENS TO THE PUBLIC
Nov 23, 2021
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (NOV. 2021) The Art Museum of South Texas, H-E-B, and the Junior League proudly presents the 12th Annual Christmas Tree Forest opening to the public this Saturday, November 20.
This years’ theme, A Reading Wonderland, will consist of 30 individual Christmas trees that are decorated by schools and organizations around the Coastal Bend area. Each tree will represent an award-winning children’s book that the groups will use as inspiration for their tree décor. This theme also gives these students an opportunity to engage in creative and critical thinking with one another.
The Christmas Tree Forest will be on view during regular business hours, along with THREE bonus Mondays, Nov. 29, Dec. 6 & 13. Small school and group tours will be available during the exhibit. A special FREE Family Day will be held from 10 am to 3 pm on December 11th for the community to enjoy that will include live entertainment, food trucks, art to-go kits, H-E-B goodie bags for children, and photo opportunities with holiday cut-outs.
Visitors will be able to vote digitally for their favorite tree using a QR code that will be provided in the gallery. Voting will take place throughout the entirety of the exhibition. Come December 15, voting will end, the forest will close to the public, and the tress will be donated to families in need to enjoy for the remainder of the holiday season.
