The Art Museum of South Texas (AMST) with partners with the Corpus Christi Literary Series, will host Elinor Lipman, author of On Turpentine Lane and The View from the Penthouse. Lipman has taught writing at Simmons, Smith and Hampshire colleges and in 2011-2012 held the Elizabeth Drew Chair in Creative Writing at Smith. Lipman will read from recent work, and answer audience questions, and sign books, which will be available forpurchase at the reading and Half-Price Books for 20% off prior to the reading. This event will be in the AMST H-E-B Theater. The cost is free to Corpus Christi Literary Reading Series patrons, $10 for the public, and $5 for students with valid I.D.
