Colorfield Painting, Inspired by Alma Thomas

Alma Thomas was an important role model for women, African-American artists, and older artists (she was recognized for her paintings after her retirement from teaching).  She was also the first African-American woman to have a solo exhibition of her work at New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art. Join us in celebrating her life and work by creating a colorful abstract composition in her style.
